Netta Bolton

My name is Netta, I am most probably the oldest member of the Cafe Team. I am married with three grown up children - Martin, Andrew and Suzanne. I work full time for a charity in Bristol in Human Resources department. I grew up in Scotland and went to university in Glasgow where I studied Business Management. My parents were not Christians so it wasn't until I was at university that I first heard the good news of why Jesus had to die for me. It was all very fast - I heard the good news on the Monday and I asked God into my life on the Thursday of the same week. I believed that God in His infinite mercy pursued me so that on the 14th October 1977 I became a Christian and welcomed Jesus into my life.

Although I had left home my parents did find it very strange when I told my them that I was a Christian, they believed at that time that it was simply a phase that I would grow out of. Thankfully God made very sure that I didn't! I love Jesus and every day He helps me in my job, with my family and at church. I am totally dependant on Him, knowing Him personally has changed and continues to change me. I let God down constantly but He still loves me, which even after all these years I still can't understand!

In 1992 I moved to England with my family. We live about 14 miles outside Bath in a small village which is very rural and quiet. We have three dogs - one of which is just a puppy (12 weeks old at time of writing) so is so very cute! I come to church at Widcombe, although only for the last 5 years (I think) I love coming to Cafe as I can chat to people and find out about other cultures and countries. I am involved in the international students host programme which means that I can get to know some of the students a bit better.
