Cafe International has been like a second home for me. I’d recommend it to anybody looking for a warm smile at the end of a busy day when your miles away from home.

What is Cafe International?

Cafe International takes place every Tuesday evening at 7:30pm during the university term time at Widcombe Baptist Church and is run by Christians in Bath.

Cafe International is a cultural activity for international students studying and living in Bath. Each week we have a themed event around a different aspect of British culture or another culture of the world. Most events feature a free main meal!

You can enjoy meals around the world and know the UK better through cultural talks
— Huan from Vietnam

Meet local people and learn more about each others cultures through discussion over meal time. We usually have some discussion questions to help you think more about the topic or think deeper about lifes big questions. The evening also features a chance to get to know the volunteers of the Cafe better through the Get to Know slot.

I think the most interesting section is ‘to get to know more about our volunteers’, i really liked to listen their background, how they became a christian. Some of them were really stunning for me. And i enjoyed to chat with volunteers, they are super-nice and friendly!
— Kaman from Hong Kong

After the main event 8-9:30pm we have free time where you can play table tennis, card games or continue chatting with the people on your table.

Thank you for kindly offering us such great Cafes over the year. They make my stay in Bath a wonderful memory.
